2023 Leadership Journey Project: Promoting Dialogue, Evidence and Bold Action at the Intersection of Climate, Gender and SRHR (Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights)
Rasha Dabash is a multilingual researcher, technical advisor, and SRHR advocate with over 25 years of global experience in effectively using evidence to drive innovation in policies and practice. She is currently an independent technical consultant to international NGOs and feminist movements/projects. Until 2021, she was the Director of Technical Excellence at Ipas, leading a team of global experts in abortion care research, program, and policy innovations. Before joining Ipas, she was a Senior Director at Gynuity Health Projects, where for over 17 years she led global research on innovations in abortion and maternal health while managing the organizations work in the MENA region. She also worked at the Population Council and EngenderHealth leading research across several SRHR domains, including FP, HIV/AIDS, obstetric fistula, and abortion, mostly in MENA and SSA. Rasha has authored 40+ peer-reviewed papers and serves as associate editor with the journal Frontiers in Women’s Global Health. She received her MPH form Tulane University and her undergraduate degree from UCLA.
