Resmi G is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Design, Manipal School of Architecture and Planning, with more than 8 years of academic experience. She completed her PhD in the area of Medical Textiles during 2012 to 2016 from Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, with UGC NET JRF/SRF. She has three Scopus indexed publications and, four research projects, three consultancy projects and filed two patents. She was also a Co-PI to DST-SEED TISAN project titled, Value Addition of Plantain Waste Biomass to Fabric Grade Banana Fiber: An Experimental Study on Processing, Weaving, And Designing Contemporary Fashions in Coastal Karnataka.
