Sanaa is a global health advocate, specializing in the intersection of health and gender. She holds expertise in large-scale program management, fundraising, financial management, and monitoring & evaluation, across the non-profit, corporate, research, and government sectors.
Sanaa is passionate about building solutions that address the differentiated nature of disease presentation in women, girls, and gender minorities and hopes to build agency among adolescents and the youth to exercise complete autonomy over their sexual & reproductive health (SLH) decisions. She believes gender-transformative leadership is the first step to addressing these gaping holes in global health.
Prior to joining WomenLift Health, Sanaa served as a Team Lead at Dasra (one of India’s leading non-profits), driving the ‘Women In Leadership’ grant supported by the Gates Foundation. She also led the Financial Planning & Management vertical for Dasra’s ‘Youth & Gender’ program, managing a collaborative funding model worth USD 12 Mn.
Sanaa holds a Master of Public Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Outside of work, she is a passionate vocalist and dancer and can be heard chanting random statistics at any time of the day!
