Sarah Peninah Olalo is an experienced program management specialist with expertise in public health programming and health system strengthening. She has extensive experience in WASH, health and nutrition, community empowerment, and eye health programming. She is also a strong advocate for gender equity and inclusion.

Currently, Sarah serves as a Program Manager at The Fred Hollows Foundation, where she leads the implementation of key eye health projects in Kenya, including the Kenya Trachoma Elimination Project, the Vision Impact Project for inclusive eye health, and an integrated Diabetic Retinopathy and Glaucoma management initiative. She has held leadership roles in program management, health system strengthening, WASH, and research with organizations such as World Vision, the Ministry of Health, and AMPATH.

She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Systems Management from Galilee International Management Institute (GIMI) in Israel and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from Moi University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health and Community Development (Epidemiology and Population Studies).

Sarah believes women’s leadership in global health strengthens health systems, drives innovation, and fosters more inclusive solutions.
