Dr Sylvia Vito is a seasoned business executive with over 17 years of experience in executive Leadership across the African Cluster. She is a transformational and versatile leader, with extensive experience in Africa. She has effectively managed multiple countries, led commercial teams & business partners, driving business performance, Community Investments Initiatives, leading strategic projects across Africa with high value and long term Public Private Partnerships in Africa. The Leadership of Healthcare investment Africa projects in Cancer, NCDs in general are her greatest highlights in her career.

Dr. Vito is a seasoned C-suite business executive with a medical professional background with 17 plus years of experience in Healthcare Leadership across the African Cluster. She currently serves as the Africa Head of EVA PHARMA International. She has previously worked extensively in the Healthcare & Pharma industry ( Hoffman la Roche, GSK, AstraZeneca) leading Africa in several capacities to drive commercial & Infrastructural developments, investments in healthcare systems strengthening , commercial performance and community investments around Communicable, Non-Communicable diseases and Vaccines

She has trained in Strategic Project Management -University of Oxford Said Business School, Executive Masters Business Administration – (GIBS),  a Bachelor degree of Pharmacy from the University of Nairobi, Values Based Sustainable Leadership – Strathmore Business School, Women in Executive Leadership – Strathmore Business School and Accelerating Difference Executive Global Leadership Program – London Women on Boards FFWD.

On Women’s Leadership in health, Sylvia opines that the healthcare environment in Africa is changing at a rapid pace. Impacted by a fast, young growing population, lifestyle choices and environmental contributions, means Africa will experience  pressure on an already fragile healthcare.Women leadership in global health is a strong pillar in curating leadership that addresses these issues.

Fun fact: Sylvia is true East African! Kenyan by birth and Ugandan and Rwandan by descent
