Dr. Temitope Akintunde is a global health and development expert with 15 years of experience in designing and managing large-scale health initiatives across sub-Saharan Africa, North America, Asia and the Middle East. Her expertise lies in the design, implementation and evaluation of nutrition, immunization, HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, commodity supply chain, and health systems strengthening programs.
She enjoys using her clinical, public health, and consulting skills to drive transformative change at global, national, and sub-national levels; ultimately improving health outcomes for vulnerable and underserved populations.
Recently, Temitope provided strategic leadership for Canada’s flagship Vitamin A capsule program, overseeing the procurement of life-saving capsules reaching over 200 million children in 70+ countries annually. She currently manages a portfolio of technical assistance projects in Asia and Africa, focused on governance, financing, and data for nutrition programs.
Temitope holds a first degree in Medicine and Surgery from Lagos State University and a Master of Public Health degree from Harvard University.
