2023 Leadership Journey Project: Advancing An Organization Commitment To Gender Equity
Temple Cooley has over 18 years of experience in global health, including philanthropy, fundraising, project leadership and technical assistance. She is currently a Program Officer for the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, serving as a grant-making and strategy lead in the Global Reproductive Health team and co-chair of a cross-foundation Gender Equity Learning Collaborative. Prior to joining the Foundation, she was a long-time employee of PSI, a leading global health organization that empowers women and couples to lead healthier lives. There, Temple served in technical, managerial and leadership roles supporting health programming in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. She has extensive experience in strategy and program design and implementation; management of multi-stakeholder, multi-geography projects and teams; grant-making, monitoring and evaluation and project representation. Temple served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Mali. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University. She speaks English, French and Spanish.
