Zinat Begum is a seasoned humanitarian leader with 15+ years of experience in large-scale humanitarian assistance, capacity building, disaster preparedness, and strategic planning across Asia and Africa. Her experience includes five years of proven leadership in strategic planning and program implementation with a wide spectrum of nonprofit organizations in Asia and Africa. Zinat has helped manage crises in Yemen, South Sudan, India, Nepal, and other countries. At Jhpiego, Zinat is using her experience to develop and refine Jhpiego’s comprehensive response before, during, and after humanitarian crises. As Jhpiego’s first senior humanitarian advisor, she is focused on integrating our past practices in crisis situations—natural and political—to fully address the health and protection needs of communities.
